  • What do my fees include?

    Competitive:

    • professional training 3 nights a week
    • at least 2 tournaments over the course of the year
    • league and game fees

    Youth Academy:

    • professional training 2 nights a week
    • league and game fees
  • What do my fees not include?

    • Uniforms are not included. Competitive and Youth Academy are required to purchase uniforms. Junior Academy participants are asked to wear a red shirt with black shorts.
    • Tournaments for Youth Academy are optional and not included.
    • Player travel expenses (hotel, meals, transportation).
    • Team related items (benches, tents, etc.).
  • Who will be coaching my son’s team?

    Our professional coaches will be assigned to Competitive teams each year after tryouts. In general, we expect all coaches to be a part of training for all Competitive teams. The Director of Coaching and Technical Director will make all Competitive coaching assignments.



    Youth Academy sessions are led by our Youth Academy Director, and supplemented by our professional staff coaches.

  • How are teams formed?

    We attempt to make as few changes to player groups as possible while incorporating new players. There is always the possibility of some changes based on numbers. The Director of Coaching and Technical Director will be in charge of all finalized player assignments.

  • How are new players evaluated?

    The Coaching Staff evaluates new players at Tryouts or at practices if the player missed Tryouts, and those new players are compared to current Cavalry players. New players have the ability to make any team in the club and can be cut if room isn't available.

  • Can a player be moved to another Cavalry team during the season?

    Yes - Once rosters are set and the season commences, meetings are held regularly with the coaching staff to ensure that players are appropriately placed. A player may be moved from the initially assigned team to another team based on the course of his development. (up -down or lateral) at the beginning of the season or throughout the league season. Players will also see reoccurring movements in their training environment and games to ensure they are appropriately challenged and continue developing and progressing.

  • What do the Team Names mean?

    The format of our team names are as follows:



    Birth Year - League played (ECNL/USCRL - US Club Eastern Conference) - Level 

  • What do the Team Name Colors stand for?

    It identifies the level of competition the team is playing from highest to lowest, with Black being the highest level 



    1- Black 

    2- White 

    3 - Red 

    4 - Maroon 

    5 - Royals 

    6 - Gold 



    Example: Cavalry 2007 Black ECNL/USC - RL means the team is a 2007 boys team playing at the Black Level in the Regional League.

  • Where are games played?

    Most games are played in the NW Houston area (Cypress, Waller). 

  • What age groups do you serve?

    Youth Academy (ages 5-9) and Competitive (boys ages 10-18).

  • Is financial assistance available?

    Yes! Financial Assistance is available for our Competitive program. Learn more about our Financial Assistance Program (FAP).
